Oh, the delights of the Apple Cinnamon Bacon!!! The smell alone is enough to put me over the edge!! It is a great breakfast bacon but my favorite use for it is in venison kabob. My husband and I reside in Illinois and I am the deer camp cook for all of November. One of the favorite meals is the venison kabobs. I simply take 1/4 of a venison chop and roll it with 1/2 a piece of the bacon, skewer them all on metal skewers and broil in the oven (the venison has been marinated-but that is a secret recipe!) The kabobs are brushed with an Apple Cinnamon Bar-B-Q sauce. Mouth watering and so tender and tasty. It is the Apple Cinnamon Bacon that makes this so special! I have not had the same success with any other bacon-even though all the Swiss varieties are exceptional in other uses!! We make sure to make at least one trip to Swiss Meats to load up the freezer for fall and winter-then another for the spring sausages. You cannot begin to experience Swiss on this web-site-they have so much to offer (another favorite is the german bologna shaped into a football!!) (Posted on 11/2/09)
