Green Pepper and Onion Sausage Noodle Casserole
16 oz. Swiss Meats Green Pepper & Onion Sausage
1 tsp. olive oil
8 oz. egg noodles (4 cups)
2 Tbsp. chopped pimento (optional)
2 Tbsp. green pepper, chopped (optional)
1/3 cup milk
10 oz. cream of chicken soup
8 oz. Velveeta cheese, cubed
1/2 cup bread crumbs
1 Tbsp. butter, melted
Remove sausage from casing, crumble and brown in 1 tsp. of Olive Oil. Cook noodles in boiling, salted water. Drain. Combine sausage, noodles, pimentos and green pepper. Add milk to the cream of chicken soup; heat, stirring constantly. Add the cheese; heat and stir occasionally until the cheese melts. (Microwave works well for this.) Combine and turn into 2 quart casserole dish. Mix crumbs and butter. Sprinkle on top. Bake in pre-heated 350 degree oven for 30 - 35 minutes.
