Sauerkraut Casserole




1 lb. Swiss Meats German Bratwurst, cut in slices
1 large onion, chopped
2 large apples, peeled and chopped
27 oz. sauerkraut, undrained
1 cup water
½ cup brown sugar, packed
2 tsp. caraway seeds
snipped parsley (optional)
In large skillet, cook sausage and onion until sausage is brown and onion is tender; drain. Stir in apples, sauer-kraut, water, brown sugar and caraway seeds. Transfer to a 2 1/2 quart baking dish. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for one hour.
Garnish with parsley.
